Engagement Shoot

I love this Vintage Picnic shoot from Forget Me Knot Weddings. This couple are actually already married, so this is more of a love shoot than an engagement shoot – same principle though. Click here to see more.

Wedding Trends

‘Succulents’ seem to be popping up on a lot of my favourite foreign blogs and I think they could be quite cool at the right wedding – especially perhaps if you were going abroad somewhere hot for your wedding. A few of my favourites below – just click the link underneath to go to each blog and see more.

Foreign Favourites Friday

I have decided to start up a new feature on the blog – Foreign Favourites Friday! This is because there are so many fab blogs out there in America, Australia, Mexico etc – which not all brides may come across. So, to avoid being selfish and keeping them to myself, I will from now be posting a few things from my favourite foreign blogs every other Friday for all to see πŸ™‚

1 – Real Wedding

My first real wedding in this new feature is from the Forget Me Not Weddings Blog. Favourite pics below, but please click here to view the rest.

2 – Engagement Shoot

I loved this Vintage Valentines engagement shoot from The Knotty Bride. Engagement shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day, so make the most of them! To view the whole shoot click here.

3 – DIY

If you are DIY inclined you will love this Birdcage veil from The Wedding Chicks. Fab for a bride or guest – you can obviously change the colours to suit. For the full tutorial please click here.

4 – Inspiration

Here is a bit of dessert inspiration for the first blog in this new feature, from Ruffled blog. Whatever the style of your wedding, you can make a real feature of your dessert area/table/room – incorporating your colours and overall design concept. Ask your stationery supplier to make signs and tags for different things – will look great and also helps to tie in overall theme and design. For more click here.

5 – Wedding Trends

ItsΒ  nice to get others opinions on upcoming wedding trends and one I particularly liked was on the Austin Wedding Blog

A few of the best are below, but please click here to read the full post.

– Local is chic. Choosing a local area caterer will become more of a priority over organic catering.

– Due to the increasing popularity of Friday weddings, venues will begin to slightly increase their rental rates.

– Dessert bar coordination will become an a la carte service offered by a growing number of wedding cake bakeries.

See you next Friday for more ‘Foreign Favourites’ x
