OhLaLa – Macarons & Martini’s

We are definitely partial to a macaron and a martini here at Temple Gregory, so love this from OhLaLa.

OhLaLa (a luxury food and drink events company) is now offering a Macaron and Martini Masterclass. Ideal for hen parties, bridal treats or gifts.

The masterclass will cost from £80 per person, and can be hosted at a number of luxury locations throughout London, or they can even come to you. There are also Macaron and Tea Masterclasses available.

OhLaLa will be taking up residence in some of London’s finest venues, holding intimate classes (up to 16 guests at a time) run by world-class pâtissiers from the likes of Zuma and Granger & Co. Each session offers guests the chance to create and take-away their own macarons, whilst expert mixologists teach and assist with the mixing and shaking of Martinis.

Beauty Is My Business

OhLaLa aim to bring an element of fun to each workshop, in a gorgeous and relaxed atmosphere. It offers the perfect way to spend an afternoon with friends, surprising a bride-to-be or treating your mother.

The Macaron and Martini Masterclass can be booked individually or you can take over an entire class with a group booking.

To find out more or to book your session, pop over to the OhLaLa website.

Sparkly Wedding Inspiration

I saw this sparkly wedding inspiration round up over on Marry This and just wanted to share it with you. You may have gathered by now that I am a bit of a magpie and a fan of anything that sparkles – what better excuse than a wedding to sparkle things up a bit?!

1. Sparkle shoes  2. Blush fabric sequin backdrop  3. DIY star tumblers  4. Bridal bouquet 5. Pink glitter wedding cake  6. Gold glitter place setting  7. DIY sequin wall backdrop

What do you think – are you a fan of sparkle, or is it all a bit too much for you? As with anything, I would never advise going OTT, but touches of sparkle in the right places can add a lovely touch x

Wedding Eye Candy

I have decided to start this new “eye candy” feature on the blog because working as a wedding planner I come across gorgeous photos every day that are just too good not to share. Simply a collection of pretty photos for us all to swoon over.

Loving… Website Wedding Invitation

I came across this amazing website wedding invitation (via Stylist) and just had to share it with you. When I say website, I mean website – fully designed and illustrated by the couple which tells their story from them meeting to their engagement.

The bride Jess is an illustrator and the groom Russ is a graphic designer – all of which is very clear when you see the detail that has gone into this website – love it! Please click here to view the full site.

What do you think – have you seen anything like this before? I know I haven’t! Would this inspire you to try something like this? Let us know if you do x

Olivier Laudus

Olivier Laudus is a bridal accessory boutique selling gorgeous jewellery, hair bands/clips/pins/combs/tiaras and other luxury accessories. I say “bridal” but if you are anything like me then you would wear their gorgeous pieces for any special occasion really!

I have their Talia hairband, which I wear a lot – it is so fabulous and sparkly that I am actually going to wear it to the races this year instead of a fascinator!

Olivier Laudus began in 2004 through husband and wife team Olivier and Sangeeta Laudus not being able to find a ring cushion fabulous enough for their own wedding – so they commissioned one themselves and the rest is history!

In 2011 a Bond Street studio was opened for personal consultations. Olivier (formerly a stylist and model) designs some of the collection and manages the day to day running of the business. Sangeeta works in the city as a lawyer, and helps with marketing and business development for the brand.

We recently attended the Under The Vintage Veil bash in Brighton where a fab catwalk show was put on for us. The models were all wearing Olivier Laudus hair accessories and I am going to let the gorgeous photos (thanks Emma Lucy!) speak for themselves.

Fabulous Headwear

With the summer season full of weddings, events and celebrations (including our favourite Royal Ascot!) just round the corner, what better excuse to buy a fabulous new hat!

Etsy

With all these events to look forward to I thought I would share a bit of inspiration with you today. I love London Milliner Gina Foster – just look at these beauties. Check out her website for the latest Jubilee Collection.

Who does a hat better than the lovely Kate Middleton?! Some of her best hats can be seen on this collage below. I love the one on the top right and also the one in the middle that she is wearing with that very fabulous Alexander McQueen coat.

Pretty Good Things

How about Vivien Sheriff Millinery – who blends English heritage and traditional millinery practices with funky modern design?

Or perhaps if you want something a bit more alternative looking, then you could consider Stephen Jones? Why not… make a statement!

A true British favourite when it comes to gorgeous millinery is of course Philip Treacy – he is a big favourite with the Royals and celebrities too.

Sparkly Wedding Inspiration

Happy Wedding Wednesday! We love our sparkle here at Temple Gregory, so when I came across this sparkly wedding inspiration board I just had to share it with you. That is such a beautiful bouquet on the left.

What do you think – can you see this fabulous sparkliness at your wedding? Which is your favourite photo? x

Bridal Gowns & The Peplum

The peplum is currently a big trend in fashion and has been seen all over the catwalks, as well as also adorning lots of beautiful celebrities. According to Vogue – there is no better way to dress your midriff than with a peplum – “a short full flounce or an extension of a garment below the waist, covering the hips”.

Lovely Bride

Fashion and trends tend to spill over into the bridal market and this did not stop at peplums! They create such a beautiful feminine shape – emphasising the waist and curves. We thought we would show you a few of our favourite peplum looks today.
